More housecleaning... Believe it or not, this was actually v.1 of the suit that eventually became the Archangel, and it shares the same basic internal structure. It could have probably used a final coat of polish or a gun or something, but I just snapped a few pics and moved on. Fits a fig as seen here.

As I said…we brought this to Brickworld 2010 and it was part of our display for World of Lights. Here we see a picture of the building lit up using the E-Lite Standard from LifeLites. Rob Hendrix was very helpful in getting us set up with the lighting and it worked very well for Brickworld.

I haven’t decided exactly what kind of building this is yet, but I am thinking it might end up being an apartment building or possibly some type of dance club. For Brickworld 2010, the top floor featured Minifigures partying together and the second floor features Crash Test Dummies doing…well…we’re not quite sure.

Description:
Inspired by the shape of the Grand Emporium and the colors of the Fire Brigade. I used two Fire Brigades to build this along with a few other pieces.

(aka: ToT-LUG)

Description:
I also made sure to make the back of the building interesting this time since it is often viewable in our layout design. I like having options with where I put this on the layout by having the back finished.

This building was built as an addition to our Town layout for the 2010 display season. The building uses design cues from both the ‘Fire Brigade’ and ‘Grand Emporium’ sets and pieces are primarily from two of the ‘Fire Brigade’ sets.

Texas State Railroad Locomotive #22, a GE 70 ton switcher. Better Photo (scroll down - oh and hey look, more photos of the #1 which I couldn't seem to find) Quite possibly the last diesel locomotive I ever design, unless I decide to rebuild these as 6-wides and sell them in my BL store (I figure 6-wides would sell better than 8). I'm pretty happy with her, except her trucks - but if you look at the "better photo", you'll note that her trucks are rather plain. I had originally built her engine access doors like I did the others - with 1x4 tiles suspended by headlight bricks - but I ran into a problem. The "Texas State Railroad" sticker would have crossed over the tiles, making applying it difficult. Since the locomotive looks very flat from a distance, I decided to go with a more subtle approach. And for the record, I hate working with minifig hands in flex tubing. I happily accept comments and criticism.

My entry for the current Lego Steampunk contest. Category: Enlightment. As the 19th century began, the interest in machines who would allow humans to fly grew. Many inventors tried their hands and many kinds of devices were developed. But no seemed perfect, every machine had its weakness. In 1857 the British Queen commissioned the famous inventor Dr. Cassius to build a flight device, that would be the best in all sectors, as the war was iminent. This is a lightly armed prototype of Dr. Cassius flying war machine, the MT-09 Iron Bird. (sorry for blurriness)
